Commercial

K buildings are ideal for industrial and commercial use due to their versatility and ability to be designed for your exact needs. Building costs are kept low because of the combined wood and steel design, which provides the necessary strength and durability for required loadings without the excessive cost. Your K building can easily expand as your business grows to meet industry needs, which allows for lower initial building costs and less expense for interior finishing.

Specifics

The foundation is the most important part of the building. K buildings offer three separate foundation options so you can put your building where you need it. Pier foundations have individual concrete pads for each frame leg and are drilled below the frost line. The monoslab foundation includes floor and footers being poured at the same time with the 8 inch wall portion trenched 24 inches into the ground. The foundation wall is the third foundation option for K buildings, and the 8 inch foundation walls are trenched below the frost line. This is then poured to the desired height above ground and reinforced with a series of rebar.

Single and double sliding doors, overhead doors and bi-fold doors can all be installed on K buildings. Lightweight steel girt framework and 29-gauge steel covering make up the sliding doors. Any size of overhead door can fit in a K building, and utilizing the optional follow-the-roof door track design allows for more headspace. For larger door openings, bi-fold doors are the right choice because of the lower cost and the ability to keep interior lights from being blocked by the open door since they open on the outside of the building.

Ample purlin spacing and flexible girt spacing provide plenty of space so your K building can have greater insulation R value to help lower energy costs. The steel mainframes in an open web design make installing mechanical components easy. Adding a loft for additional overhead storage is possible due to the follow-the-roof framework. Anchor bolts are also provided with each building.
